Apple Announces Four New iPhones

Tuesday, October 13, 2020

Today Apple announced their exciting new iPhone lineup. There are a total of four new phones, all supporting the latest 5G networks, and featuring a new flat edged design. Here is some of the most pertinent information about the new products announced today.

How many new Phones were announced, and what are they called?

For the first time ever Apple announced four new phones in one event. They are called iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

What will they cost?

  • iPhone 12 Mini: $699
  • iPhone 12: $799
  • iPhone 12 Pro: $999
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max: $1,099

When can I order the iPhone 12 model I want?

Some models go on sale this Friday, Oct. 16 and ship Oct. 23, but Apple is doing a staggered release this year. Here’s how it breaks down.

  • iPhone 12 Mini: Nov. 6 preorders, Nov 13 availability
  • iPhone 12: Oct 16 preorders, Oct. 23 availability
  • iPhone 12 Pro: Oct. 16 preorders, Oct. 23 availability
  • iPhone 12 Pro Max: Nov. 6 preorders, Nov 13 availability

What does the iPhone 12 look like?

The new iPhone models have moved away from the rounded edges used since the iPhone 6 and through to the iPhone 11.  A new flat-edged design looks more like the  older iPhone 4 and iPhone 5.. All the new phones have excellent camera upgrades, and will take incredible photos. The Pro models have three cameras along with some additional sensors, and the standard iPhone 12 models has two cameras.

The standard iPhone 12 models continue to use an aluminum housing, and the Pro models have a new impressive looking stainless-steel housing. As for colors - the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 will come in black, white, red, blue and green. The Pro models will come in gold, silver, graphite and blue.

All of the above information is just the tip of the iceberg, as there are tons of new features and functions of all of these iPhones. Feel free to get in touch if you have any specific questions about the differences, or what might suit your needs best.
